Brian F. Cicerelle, of South Bound Brook, burglarized cars in the early-morning hours between Aug. 29 and Sept. 9, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.

An investigation identified Cicerelle as the suspect. Around 3:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, a South Bound Brook officer made contact with Cicerelle following a motor vehicle stop as a result of this investigation. Cicerelle was told that he was under arrest and resisted the officers by refusing to comply with the arrest, McDonald said.

Cicerelle was subsequently arrested without further incident and charged with eight counts of burglary, three counts of credit card fraud, credit card theft and resisting arrest. He was transported to the Somerset County Jail where he was lodged pending a detention hearing.
